About Wunderkind Contemporary

Wunderkind Contemporary is a dynamic gallery and collective space dedicated to high contemporary art. Here, you’ll find a vibrant showcase of regional and national artists in the main gallery, alongside works by our collective members displayed in additional rooms, all designed to promote and nurture artistic careers.

While we wholeheartedly support local artists and their exhibitions, our mission is to invigorate Wichita's art scene with fresh and innovative styles of contemporary art, avoiding the repetitive displays that can often dilute the experience. However, we are far from being anti-local. Our Wunderkind Contemporary collective will solely feature local artists—and that's where the real excitement begins!

In collaboration with White Rabbit Concert Hall, we are creating a unique platform: during the downtime on Friday and Saturday nights when concerts aren't happening, the main hall will transform into a lively studio space where musicians can rehearse on stage and artists can work on their latest projects, all while soaking in the vibrant music atmosphere.

This synergy sparks creativity, igniting a continuous circle of inspiration. In addition to providing a collaborative space for artists of all disciplines, we’ll also be exploring opportunities for our collective members to exhibit nationally at some of the country’s most prestigious art fairs. By pooling resources and funding, we aim to make these experiences accessible for everyone. With our two decades of experience in the art scene and established connections, we invite you to leverage this collective to step into a broader art world beyond what the local scene may offer.
